Mayfair Library, Kilkenny
The project consists of the renovation and extension of the former Mayfair Ballroom in the Abbey Quarter for library use as the Kilkenny City Library. Works include extensive demolitions and alternations to existing structures including a new mezzanine level, new two storey extensions to each gable end of the existing building, specialist library fit-out including Open Library technology and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, construction of a public urban square and new access to the building together with all associated siteworks and drainage.
