Mitchelstown Sports and Leisure Centre

A new split level sports and leisure complex on a challenging sloping site.

The development consists of, a sports hall and viewing gallery on the lower ground floor and activities hall, aerobics hall, offices, changing rooms and coffee area to upper ground floor area. All areas of the complex were made wheelchair accessible by the inclusion of a passenger lift.

Extensive site works were required in order to reduce the amount of retaining walls and for the creation of the amphitheatre, civic plaza, terraces and car parking areas.
