St. Martins Special School, Ballytruckle, Waterford

The project consists of the construction of a 3,765m2 single storey special school complete with associated services and siteworks on the outskirts of Waterford City.

The school accommodates pupils with special educational needs ranging from mild, moderate to severe and profound with multiple/challenging disabilities. These needs demand suitable design responses in terms of planning and specification and include the provision of soft impact play areas and sensory garden space.
